New York Wedding Boutique Launch Party

Last Wednesday I spent Cinco de Mayo with a group of my favorite Upstate New York wedding professionals at the launch party for the New York Wedding Boutique. The event was held at The Barn at the Rensselaer Technology Park, a space perfect for small intimate events like this one. The space is warm and inviting with huge windows, exposed wood beams and dramatic high ceilings. It was the prefect setting for the launch party, an event orchestrated by the founding members of the New York Wedding Boutique – Alisha Clark and Luke Walker of Clark + Walker Studio, Kris Ann Elario of Fleurtacious Designs, Katie O’Malley of Katie O Weddings & Events, Rebecca Ashby of The Pink Orange and photographer JP Elario.

Ok, so what is the New York Wedding Boutique? It’s pretty fabulous actually. Simply put, it’s an exclusive collaboration of top tier wedding professionals from New York State’s Capital District area. (Although I’m voting for additional chapters across Upstate New York.) It’s a one-stop resource for Upstate couples (or destination couples planning Upstate weddings) looking for the best of the best wedding professionals. Those old school wedding photographers who make you pose for cheesy photos? You won’t find them here. Members were hand selected and must meet careful screening standards to ensure only the highest caliber vendors are a part of the NY Wedding Boutique network.

A gorgeous cake boasting the the official New York Wedding Boutique logo was made by Gio Morina of Gio Culinary Studio, rentals were provided by Total Events and Karen Trudell of Sweet Perfection supplied the favors – chocolate orange and margarita flavor cake truffles. Yes, they are truffles. With cake inside. I guarantee you you’ve never tasted anything as heavenly.

Vendors mixed and mingled and talked about all the exciting ways the New York Wedding Boutique will raise the bar in bringing amazing service to couples celebrating their weddings in the Capital region.
