Glittery Ballet-Inspired Bridal Shower Shoot

Apr 4

I have to say, this is probably the most excited I have been for a Monday in a long time! Why? Because we’re kicking off the Inspired Creations Contest today and, wow, are you in for a treat. This time, Ami of Elizabeth Anne Designs and I challenged wedding and event design professionals to create a look inspired by glitter and glam, putting a fresh spin on glitz and sparkle. This morning we are kicking things off with an entry all the way from Italy! The ladies of Bon Bon Studio (made up of Laura Bravi of tren di nozze, Alessandra Aghilar of Almalu’s Place, Federica Piccinini of Sweet As a Candy, and Gaia Borzicchi of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland) created a design that is the epitome of girly glam. It’s happy, ultra feminine, glittery, and a mix of both modern and romantic.

The team’s idea was to celebrate a bride-to-be with a love for ballet, ballerinas and everything girly and glittery. Their design is full of lovely, sweet details that are ballet-inspired, fashionable and fun. The gorgeous color palette showcases various shades of pink, cream and touches of gold. An abundance of tulle and ribbons are incorporated throughout the decor including a gorgeous backdrop for both the dessert table and as cute tutu-inspired fabric chandeliers hanging over the luncheon table.

A mix of absolutely stunning flowers – anemones, hydrangeas, ranunculus, English roses and gypsophila – in white, pink and burgundy with touches of sage green, were placed in gold glasses. As favors they included a pretty pink feather fan and a tulle and lace flower head band used as napkin ring. The dessert table was ultra feminine with a pretty little cake topped with flowers, champagne and gold glitter cupcakes, white meringues, gold, pink and white candies and macarons.

A fun little activity for a bridal shower, the girls designed a chignon table, where the bride and her girlfriends can play dress up inspired by chic and romantic ballet style. The table was draped in pink tulle and topped with a cluster of crystal cake stands holding flowers and pearl hair bands, pins, necklaces and pretty little baubles. Last but not least the ladies also designed a corner to act as a photo booth. Pretty swags of tulle were draped along the wall as a background and piled on the floor with pretty gold, pink and white balloons. Props like glittery paper crowns, fans, presents and heart-shaped magic wands make for festive and happy photos. I love how all of the girls were dressed on theme – glitter, pailettes, sequins, soft fabrics, tulle and ribbon. So pretty!

Many many thanks to this powerhouse Italian team for being a part of the Inspired Creations Contest! Reader input will be taken into consideration as we narrow down the contest finalists so be sure to leave love for your favorite submissions throughout the contest. So much more to come throughout the next few weeks!
