Summer Cottage Love + Happy Weekend

After a brave fight and two very long weeks of sitting vigil, we said goodbye to my grandfather last night. Much of the next several days will be spent with my family as we pay our respects, so it may be a little quiet around here for a short bit. Thinking about this wonderful man that so many people loved so very much, I can’t help but think about his love for the family cottage where he preferred to be more than any other place on earth even well into his 80s. It’s the place where everyone gathers to celebrate, to savor and to just be. Fishing and swimming off the dock, reading books, playing lawn games, going kayaking. His spirit will be there with us forever. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Hug someone you love, soak up every moment. xoxo
