First Anniversary Gift by Brooke of Claremont Road

It’s likely that many of you are already familiar with the amazing talent of Brooke, AKA Mrs. Cupcake on Weddingbee – I know I’ve been a fan for a couple of years now. I was pretty sure nothing could top the amazing teal and lime invitations that Brooke designed for her September 2008 wedding, until I saw the brilliant first anniversary gift she made for her husband. It combines a few of my favorite things – chip board, Gocco, and pretty hand lettering – for a gift that is so thoughtful and unique I just had to share it with you. If you ever find yourself at a complete loss as to what to gift someone, perhaps even your own spouse, for a paper anniversary, you should definitely get inspired by Brooke’s creation.

Both of my parents are lefties, which I'd imagine is pretty uncommon. So yeah, I was pretty much stuck with it :-) Thanks for all your sweet words... I love the new blog, by the way! .-= brooke @ claremont road's most recent blog post: how right you are, fortune cookie. =-.

The pleasure is all mine, Brooke! I'm always amazed by the things you dream up and I love the fact the fact the you're a leftie! I've recent discovered that many of the most amazing calligraphers and hand-lettering/typography artists are left handed. (Which, to me, seems a bit counterintuitive given the smudging issue you noted. I'm completed fascinated by this phenomenon. hahaha)
