It has been snowing the last couple of days and there is the prettiest blanket of soft white covering the ground. My dog loves burying her face in the fresh snow when we go out for our morning walk and it never ceases to make me smile. Somehow it makes this week still feel rich and glittery with holiday spirit, which I can’t help but love. With that said, I figure I have a lot of making up to do for having spent all of Christmas immobile on the couch feeling poorly, so I’m thinking I’d like to plan a fun little brunch for New Year’s morning. I’ve been dreaming a lot about homemade hot cocoa lately so when I spied this fun pairing of churros and spiced chocolate bisque from Cannelle et Vanille via Ruby Press yesterday I stopped dead in my tracks. Doesn’t this just look like wintery goodness in a mug? You know you want some. (I know I do!)

I'll have you know, I've been craving churros all week now. You might just have me convinced to make some for my New Year's morning brunch!
