As a rule I’ve always gravitated toward cool colors – I love all shades of blue, gray, aqua, turquoise and jade. But lately, lately I find myself drawn to warm rich shades of buttery yellow, gold and mustard. I love the how the shades transform themselves when paired together. With lots of sparkly accents this palette feels surprisingly glamorous, but when anchored with lots of white it feels fresh, crisp and summery. There is no denying the warmth of yellow, an inherently cheerful color. Perhaps right now I’m just missing the sun and longing for spring as winters in upstate NY can be so very long and gray, but for the moment I’m completely in love with yellow.
