Last year was our first year living in our house and one day in October we came home from running errands to find out we had been booed! The idea behind being “booed” is that someone leaves a basket of goodies at your doorstep on the sly at some point during the Halloween season with a note letting you know you’ve been booed. You’re then supposed to pass along the fun by booing another family, all done anonymously. Today I’ve teamed up with HI-CHEW and the super talented Isabela of La Lu Isa to create these really happy and barely spooky Halloween printables so you can boo all your neighbors and officially be the coolest kid on the block! You can download them here, then just print on card stock and trim. Fashion together a basket or two loaded with your favorite HI-CHEW flavors (mine are mango and strawberry!) and a bunch of fun Halloween paraphernalia and you’ve got all the right moves.
Last year was Emerson’s first Halloween so we dressed her up to go trick or treating at a few neighbors’ houses, but otherwise we were home to hand out candy which is our favorite thing to do on Halloween. This year we basically plan to do the same since Em won’t even be two yet so she’s still not really going to know what’s going on other than Mommy and Daddy are cooing at her while she wears some silly outfit. Our big kids know that I’m not huge into candy generally speaking, but I’m a big big fan of fruity, chewy candy. I love all the fun fruity HI-CHEW flavors and our teenage boys (ages 16 and 15) immediately called dibs on all the leftovers when we were done shooting these photos. (Bonus points when your kids think you’re instantly way cooler because you’re working with one of their favorite brands. Ha!)
To get started spreading the Halloween cheer throughout your neighborhood, click here to download your super fun Halloween printables! The PDF file has everything you need to boo your favorite pals. Just download, print, trim and boo! Pop into Target or place an order via Amazon to land a bunch of HI-CHEW on your doorstep – the sticks and Original Mix bag work great for this! Add a bunch of fun Halloween themed extras like tiny little skeletons, temporary tattoos, cool pencils, little gumball machine inspired toys, skeleton erasers, glow sticks, funky Halloween jewelry and whatever else you find that’s bound to give your neighbors a chuckle. For me Halloween is the super fun kick-off to the start of the entire holiday season so booing our neighbors and spreading a little cheer is topping my list. Watch out, neighbors! I’ve got goodies headed your way.La Lu Isa | Photos by Alice G. Patterson.]
