More Holiday Goodness

This week has been so cold here in Upstate NY, so festive. For me it’s all about drinking lots of holiday spice tea and finding time to hit the gym often enough to offset all of the cookies I can’t seem to stop eating. As the blog world quiets down and the week starts to slow down in preparation for the holiday, I’ve been relishing in a bit of extra time to visit some of my favorite blogs (old and new) and dig through each post word for word. It’s surprising how luxurious it feels to sit with a mug of something tasty in front of my Macbook and soak in all of the holiday beauty. Take, for instance, these pretty spools of ribbon and twine, which I spied on Oh Happy Day. Something about them just makes me smile.

For all of you who, like me, are last minute gift wrappers, I love these pretty gift tags from Laura Macchia that I saw on Freshly Blended. There is definitely still time to craft up a few simple gift tags and find pretty satin ribbons to attach them to packages. (I actually have a date with my Gocco and some cute shipping tags this evening for this exact purpose.)

This pretty winter wedding has popped up in a few places now, but I first saw it over at Green Wedding Shoes. The simple decor feels so warm, like the room just hugs you when you walk in the door. I never knew I could fall in love with the simple pairing of moss and candlelight, but indeed I have.

And, you know, there is nothing quite like handmade details to make the holidays feel truly like the holidays, at least for me. When we were kids we used to spend hours helping my mother bake cookies, craft ornaments for the tree, bundle up boxes of treats for family, and make homemade jam to give as gifts. So these pretty embroidered fabric squares, later crafted into holiday ornaments, which I stumbled upon at Modish really made me feel inspired to craft something beautiful.

What have you been inspired by this holiday season? I’d love to see some of  your favorites!

I've wanted that bakers twine from sundance ever since I saw it in the catalog. It's so cute!

What I wouldn't give to be snuggled up on a couch with Hot chocolate and my laptop blog hopping!! Oh, I'm blog hopping but instead of on a comfy couch I'm sitting at a cold desk on a very uncomfortable chair drinking a red bull...sigh... but I do LOVE your holiday inspiration they almost make me feel warm and toasty:)

hahaha Glad to hear it, Cam! I figured we could all use a little extra holiday warmth to get us through the work week before the holiday.

Hannah, I agree completely! I love that twine on those cute spools!
