Good morning, friends! This morning I have a fun, colorful Inspired Creations Contest entry to share, brought to us by the team of Bellwether Events, Notable Inspiration, Kurstin Roe Photography, and Two Brunettes. A unique escort card display and pop art inspired DIY guest book feature bold colors, and a fun puzzle piece theme carried throughout all of the details.
For the escort card display, a favorite photo was enlarged, color-altered into pop art colors in Photoshop, and turned into a puzzle, using Joslin Photo Puzzle Company. Magnet strips were placed on the back of each puzzle piece. Escort cards were printed on Avery Inkjet Magnetic Business Card paper. Both were printed and affixed to magnetic white boards from Ikea.
The interactive photo booth setup uses a Mac and the Photo Booth application, which has a built-in pop art option. The laptop can be set on a table alongside a bunch of fun props. Here they used fun classic pop art items like Campbell’s Tomato Soup cans, Coca Cola bottles, and masks of famous faces including Marilyn Monroe, Mickey Mouse, the Paul Frank monkey and John Lennon.
To set the tone for the colorful pop art inspired celebration, Carolynn from Two Brunettes designed an invitation and RSVP card set in vibrant colors, which you can download! Just print on your home computer and then, to create the reply card, simply use an X-acto knife to cut around the puzzle curve and a perforator to trace along the straight lines. Guests can then separate the two sides easily and send the rsvp puzzle piece back to you in the mail. (These would also be great for a shower or a birthday party, too!)
For the guest book, guests pick up both their magnetic escort card and puzzle piece. Once seated, all the guests sitting at a particular table assemble their puzzle pieces into a fun pop-art image of the bride and groom. When the puzzle is complete, it is placed on the magnetized canvas. Guests can then sign around the border of the pop art portrait. It’s fun, interactive and a great keepsake for the newlyweds, too.
A huge thank you to Bellwether Events, Notable Inspiration, Kurstin Roe Photography, and Two Brunettes for sharing their incredible vision! For even more photos and details of their design, visit Elizabeth Anne Designs.
