Today I have the pleasure of sharing two fabulous Inspired Creations Contest entries from Tammy Golson. The first up is the sweetest little idea for escort cards – cupcakes! (No pun intended.) My husband and I are both fanatical about sweets and baked goods so I love the idea of a personalized escort card display like this. Tammy and her team – Ana Dolan, Betsy from Nine Cakes, and Jen Huang – chose to shoot at a local restaurant (a great budget-friendly venue option) and named tables after favorite ingredients to tie in the foodie theme.
Tammy found inspiration in snapshots found on friends’ facebook pages and used them to create playful escort cards, personalized with each guest’s face instead of their name. What a fun way to find your seat!
To create the cards:
– Print photos on photo paper and table names on cardstock
– Use a circle punch to crop faces
– Use larger circle punch to create cardstock circles
– Affix faces to one cardstock circle and table name to the other
– Using adhesive, glue to popsicle stick and stand up in center of cupcake
Using the same fun photos of guests, they created a cute DIY guest book where friends and family would locate their photo and sign next to it in lieu of a traditional guest book. I love this idea! It reminds me a high school yearbook.
