I love having the opportunity to share this beautiful inspiration shoot with you today, sent over by my good friend Erika Firm of Delphine. Erika and a group of incredibly talented wedding professionals designed this shoot with a pretty, classic tea party bridal shower in mind and I just love all of the soft, feminine details. The color palette is lady-like and romantic and all of the sweet little touches leave me once again searching for an excuse to host a fabulous tea party for my favorite girls.

Erika shares, “There’s just something so classically romantic about a sweet tea party bridal shower, isn’t there? As much as I love all the modern takes on wedding parties, the classic tea party will always be the tried and true favorite for bridal showers. I am SO not a game person, but after prodding from the rest of our team (“what’s an old-fashioned bridal shower without an old-fashioned embarrassing game?”) I created a quiz for the occasion, based on our Charleston Stitch invitation design.”

“We chose a classic powder puff pink, grey, and pastel color palette, piled on the vintage linens and teacups, brought in delicious cupcakes from Cupcake Love in Solana Beach, CA, and counted down the seconds until Jen was done shooting so we could dive into the cupcakes and pink bubbly. ”

“Sticking with the classic and romantic theme, Adrianne chose lovely peach and pink roses for the centerpiece and a gorgeous peach vintage vase from her personal collection. She “stuffed” assorted tea cups with roses for place settings, and we added fun little pennants made from Delphine scraps with names for a little whimsical touch.”

This bridal shower is just too pretty to resist! It may have even made a believer out of me, a fellow opponent to bridal shower games. A fun little quiz on pretty paper? I can get on board with that kind of fun. Thanks for sharing, Erika! xoxo

Hi Jessica. Thanks for your message. The small espresso cups I snatched up at Anthropologie a few years ago, and the rest are from my personal collection, gathered over many many years at yard sales, antique shops, and EBay (and a few were “borrowed” from my mom and grandmother Delphine’s china cabinets quite a few years ago … funny how they never quite made it back).

Where can you buy the tea cups? So pretty!
If I could dream the most perfect Tea Party bridal shower it would be this one! Everything about it screams GORGEOUS PERFECTIONS. The colors, the details, the design…all of it is simply out of this world, amazing!

Your parties are just wonderful, Adrianne. I tell you, if I ever get married again, which I would love, YOU are going to do the flowers – and do you sing as well too??

Thanks everyone for your sweet words. The best part of this shoot wasn’t the flowers or the invites or the stunning photos Jen shot (or even the cupcakes) … it was getting to hang out and do something creative with my dear friends. It was a dreamy day.
