Inspired by the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, photographer Tahni Candelaria-Holm of Joyeuse planned the prettiest bridal shower for her best friend Allie. She crafted all of the pretty details and asked ladies to come dressed in Mexican bohemian inspired attire. A basket of colorful fabric flowers invited ladies to wear a flower in their hair for the afternoon and Tahni also created a personalized painting to act as a guest book. She created a pretty vase on a canvas and, separately, little flowers on which friends wrote well wishes for the couple. The flowers were then attached to the original painting, which found a place of honor in the newlywed’s home. Of course, no Mexican celebration is complete without a pinata. Who says grown ups can’t love a pinata, too?
Many thanks to Tahni for sharing this beautiful and heartfelt celebration with The Sweetest Occasion! You can read more about the shower on the Joyeuse blog.
