Good Monday morning, friends! We’re kicking off the week with a gorgeous Inspired Creations Contest entry from Kelly Maron Horvath of Paper Stories and Indie Wed, Lauren LePine of Ryan Alexander Events, Lynn Fosbender of Pollen and Stevi Savage of AveryHouse. Since each of the team members try to work as sustainably as possible in their individual businesses, they wanted to apply that philosophy to this shoot, finding the “glitz” in as many found, borrowed, and natural objects as possible. The use of mercury glass, mother of pearl buttons, satin ribbons and gilded plates served as the “glitter and glam” in their design. Blush tones and neutrals mixed with pops of subtle colors helped to counterbalance the various textures from the silky ribbons and reflective glassware to spikey succulents and pretty frosting ruffles.
Almost everything used was from the team members’ own homes and studios. The amazing dinnerware came from Plate, a company that rents mismatched china. In pulling together all of the lovely details, the team’s philosophy was to prove that it doesn’t have to be costly to create a luxurious feel. Oftentimes it just takes looking at what you already have and thinking about how you can reuse it in a clever way.
I love all of the beautiful details incorporated throughout this shoot. From the gorgeous dessert buffet to the pretty table for two, everything is fresh, chic and the perfect blend of sleek modern style and unique vintage finds. The mix of metallics, glassware, floral china, gorgeous stationery and stunning flowers is both timeless and sweetly unexpected.
Many thanks to this all-star team for being a part of the Inspired Creations Contest! Don’t forget to leave love on your favorite contest entries as reader input will be taken into consideration as we narrow down the finalists. Much more to come throughout the week!
