Good Monday morning, friends! While I’m off at the National Stationery Show, our DIY gurus Jenny and Chelsea are leading the charge this week with DIY Week! Look forward to tutorials, how-to videos and free printables all week long. Without further ado…
Hi! It’s Jenny from Hank + Hunt with a cute little DIY for the kiddies. If you have ever tried to set up a party for wee ones, you know that they are DYING to help. I wish I had that kind of energy! So I was inspired by the idea of getting the kids to help with the decorations. What do kids love to do? Color. How special would it be to have custom printables made by the family’s favorite little person?
Older kids can assemble the whole kit, younger ones can color and have mom or dad put it together. If you are crazy about certain colors, just hide the non-matching shades of crayons (ahem…brown) or like magnets they will end up in the party. I might have learned that the hard way – you can’t explain to a three year old not to use brown or black…
Print these out on cardstock and color to your little heart’s content. How perfect is this for a parent’s or grandparent’s birthday? The set includes cute bunting flags, mini “hooray” garland, paper chain/water bottle wrappers, cupcake flags and buffet tent cards. Download your printables and get coloring – enjoy!
(By the way, I have been informed that this says SALSA. Kids!)
