I’m such a sucker for sweet little DIY ideas that add a little pretty to every day life. Right now, I’m crushing on this lovely hand painted mug. All you need is a steady hand, a little inspiration, a set of pretty porcelain mugs and inexpensive tubes of outliner paint. They’d make fabulous hostess and holiday gifts, too! Get the tutorial at Wit & Whistle.

Oh my gosh, that's amazing. I wonder if I could actually do that... Worth a try, right?! I'd even plant a pretty succulent in it. :) .-= Kristine {In Love, Engaged}'s most recent blog post: Bridal Market 2011: Oh, those dresses! =-.

One of the comments on the Wit & Whistle site: I have decorated several mugs with the Porcelain pens, but you should have indicated the warning on the product : These markers are not recommended for use on surfaces that come in contact with food.
I have posted another tutorial from another site for mugs like this using this pen and went back and read the warnings. All I read was "non-toxic" but reread the info again and saw the food warning. I have pulled the tutorial I reposted (from someone else) from my blog. Does anyone know of an alternative that is safe for food?

In general, I love hand painted mugs, but this one takes the cake!
