I have to be honest. All I can think about this week is packing. The lease here on my current digs is up at the end of the month and that means it’s time to move! Again. (If you’re keeping track, this is my eleventh move in six years. Yes. Eleventh.) Of course, I can’t help but be excited about decorating a new place. I mean, that’s the fun part, right? I’m largely going to be working with what I’ve got, but I’m looking for a few new statement pieces to round everything out. And if you’re like me, you just can’t move without picking up a few new accessories, a new shower curtain, new bathroom mats…you get the picture. So because I can’t stop thinking about decorating the new place, I figured I might as well share a few of things currently catching my eye!
While we likely will not be painting, these four shades are my go-to paint colors. They’re all by Benjamin Moore and I’ve used them time and again to create a really calming, neutral background. I definitely love the look of soft colors on the walls layered with great textiles and art to make the room pop. While painting probably isn’t in the cards (the walls are already a really lovely neutral shade paired with bright white trim that I really don’t have any interest in changing), these colors are still going to show up basically everywhere. I am really loving deep sapphire blue right now, too, so I am going to work it in just about everywhere I can. That velvet ottoman? To die for. I must own it. I am going to share a whole bunch about the apartment this time around so stay tuned for that in a few weeks once the move is complete and getting settled is underway! In the meantime follow my Moving On Up board on Pinterest to see what pretty things I am spying and dreaming of bringing home!

That lamp! I have that exact same owl as a candle. I love the striped pillow too, perfectly faded blues are a favorite :)
