I’ve always loved the work of Aleah and Nick of Valley & Co. but today I’m especially excited to share this dinner party they recently planned. Hosted in honor of Aleah’s mom’s 60th birthday, they planned a dinner party in a big open field on a teeny tiny island in the Pacific Northwest. The birthday girl got in on the action making little paper crowns for herself and each of her guests. She also helped Nick and Aleah plan a menu comprised of local foods, beer and wine, which was served family style at sunset. Everything from the centerpieces to the desserts featured flowers, fruits and vegetables from either the island or Aleah’s parents’ garden. Add in an 80′ long table and loads of family and friends and I can’t think of a better way to ring in 60!

What gorgeous colors! The centerpieces in cans are a nice touch.
I recently had the chance to meet Aleah and Nick in person and they are so so lovely. This dinner looks so perfect :)
Wow – great party! Love the colors – what a incredible table.
What a stunning event!! Lovely work.
mmm, love the hand lettering! As a calligrapher I’m always thrilled to see hand lettering used in events, it gave this party an extra touch of care. Great post!
