An alternate title to this post would be “The Easiest Halloween DIY Idea Ever.” Or perhaps, “Photographing Balloons is Surprisingly Tricky!” Either way, you get the gist. I shared a photo of this balloon on Instagram yesterday to rave reviews so I thought I would share this quick and easy last minute Halloween DIY project. Balloons. Black ones. Decked out with a gold paint pen. They’re perfect for bunching together and tying out front to welcome trick-or-treaters! Or, how fun would they be to tote around the neighborhood while out hoarding chocolate and Skittles? (Because, clearly, I’m the kind of girl who advocates wandering around town with a big bunch of balloons. So fun!)
Get ready for the easiest of easy! First up, gather a bunch of black balloons and be sure they’re all filled with helium before you get wild with your paint pen. Then have at it! Deck out your balloon with whatever phrases and patterns you like, being careful not to smudge your work as you rotate the balloon. (Although the paint does dry pretty quickly so it’s not a huge concern!) I definitely suggesting using a fine point tip or thicker as the extra fine point doesn’t really show up on the balloon. (Ok, ok and I was totally afraid the whole time that it might pop the balloon in my face. Oops!) And there you have it! The easiest Halloween balloons with just the perfect little bit of gold.

Cute idea! Love the simplicity of this project and all of the things you can do with it. I'm terrified of balloons popping too! But, these are worth it :)
