Ami of Elizabeth Anne Designs and her husband Scott are huge Atlanta Braves fans. Last December, they held a New Year’s Eve vow renewal in Atlanta in honor of their tenth anniversary and it was only fitting that they invite their guests to a welcome party at Turner Field, the home of the Braves, while they were in town. It just so happens that my husband is also a huge Braves fan, so he was completely and totally in awe when I first showed him photos of Ami and Scott’s party. Wouldn’t this make a fabulous birthday or bachelor party? Sometimes just a few little details – peanuts, Cracker Jack, and guests wearing Braves colored attire – can go a long way toward creating a really festive event. No extravagance required. (Trust me, this party would be really cool even without the awesome venue.)
While at Turner Field, Ami and Scott’s guests got the VIP treatment including a tour and great portraits on the field. (My husband is totally and completely jealous over this one.)
Ami made little baggies filled with goodies for each guest. Braves-themed M&M’s and traditional baseball stadium snacks like peanuts as well as assorted Braves memorabilia – keychains, bumper stickers, etc.
And, of course, they asked everyone to show up wearing red, white and blue so they could get great photos with friends and family out on the field. I love this photo!
