When the incredibly talented Rachelle Schwartz of Wiley Valentine sent over photos of her recent baby shower, planned and designed by her dear friend and business partner Emily, I was completely blown away. Not only are all of the details breathtaking, but they were a collaborative effort pulled together by some of Rachelle’s favorite people and a true reflection of her style and personality. First up, the gorgeous three color letterpress baby shower invitations, a custom design Emily created just for her – they were printed by Rachelle’s husband Michael of Czar Press.

Because Rachelle isn’t a big fan of baby shower games, Emily set up a craft station instead and guests designed one of a kind baby onesies. She purchased onesies in assorted sizes and cut out animal shapes for guests to use as templates. Each person chose fabrics backed with iron-on paper and traced their shapes onto the fabric. Then they ironed the shapes onto the onesies for instant designer baby apparel. They turned out adorable and it was a huge hit with guests – I love this idea!

The food included a delicious menu of salads, sandwiches and sweets, pulled together by Emily and cooked up by Rachelle’s mother in-law. The star of the menu was a homemade berry tart Rachelle’s husband made and dainty little macarons from Paulette. Emily’s mother Wendy designed all of the gorgeous centerpieces and floral arrangements, and Rachelle and Emily’s friend Jeni Maus of Found contributed a gorgeous selection of vintage wares they used for styling the party.

Emily and her mother made cute stuffed toadstools for the baby’s new nursery, which made an appearance at the party and there were also letterpress coasters featuring pink toadstools and blue elephants. (I love these!)

Of course, no baby shower is complete without one beautiful mommy to-be and a group of happy friends and family…
