Good morning, friends! I am so excited that you loved yesterday’s first Inspired Creations Contest entry as much as I did. Rest assured, today’s entry is just as jaw-dropping – you are in for a treat! As an avid camper and outdoor enthusiast (there is nothing I love more than spending time boating, hiking and camping) this inspiration shoot almost made me jump out of my seat with delight. And as a rule, I’m not a seat-jumper, so that says something. An incredible collaboration between some of the most talented wedding pros going, Jesi Haack Weddings, JL Designs, Sweet and Saucy Shop, Gabriel Ryan Photographers and Paper and Thread, this one is going to blow you away.
With the idea of a couple in love with camping as their muse, the group came up with a design filled with sweet, camping-themed details. The team shares, “We used a handmade table top made of reclaimed wood found in dumpsters as our tablescape. We incorporated the blue speckled dinnerware into the design to reflect the camping necessities. The flowers were made of balsa wood paired with some funky greens placed in a bark-covered vase. The invitation was made to reflect a trail map while the menus were placed in sleeping bag covers. We ate from sporks, used a “make your own smore” concept as the favor and headlamps to help the guests “find” their seats.”
From modern, fuss-free flower arrangements in shades of earth tones boasting lots of woodsy texture to the fun outdoorsy attire, all of the details of this inspiration shoot were perfectly considered. I am obsessed with the groom and his groomsman dressed in coordinating plaid shirts and bow ties, which pairs adorably with the plaid fabric flower and bird cage veil donned by the gorgeous bride.
My favorite part of this inspiration shoot is the way it takes a shared loved of the couple, in this case camping, and uses it to weave a unique story throughout their celebration. It results in something that is personalized, warm and infused with character in a way that cookie cutter details could never replicate.
Thank you for sharing your incredible vision and being a part of the Inspired Creations Contest. I am convinced your talents knows no bounds and I think this shoot proves that nicely. I am completely inspired to pack my bags and go camping! A little camping-themed anniversary party might be in order for my husband and I this July.
