A Cup of Hot Cocoa

Nov 15

Despite an unseasonably warm weekend, I find myself starting to grow more excited about winter and the upcoming holiday season. Living in the Northeast means long, brutal winters, but it also brings the thrill of watching each season meld into the next and that never gets boring for me. I’ve been craving cold winter nights and big mugs of steamy hot chocolate lately and love the idea of serving cocoa at a winter wedding. Add homemade marshmallows, chocolate shavings or peppermint sticks for an extra yummy touch.

  1. Lovely little entry. I live in Los Angeles but I’m visiting my parents in Iowa for the entirety of the holiday season, and it’s going to be so great to have a COLD Thanksgiving and Christmas! There is nothing quite like winter nights.

Lovely post – love the idea of hot cocoa at a winter wedding.

  2. I loved this post! I checked out Sophie’s Winter Birthday Celebration.. it looked amazing! I love the idea of hot cocoa and churros. I also love the holiday themed cup in the second photo, the wedding gift in the fourth photo and the broken up candy cane in the last photo!
