Carissa + Aaron: A Sweet Artsy Wedding

Mar 21

There is something so heartwarming and charming about this wedding that it just struck me as perfect for a Monday morning. Carissa and Aaron are both artists and wanted to plan an intimate and really special wedding for their closest friends and family while bringing bits and pieces of their personalities into the celebration. They were married at the Tinney Contemporary Art Gallery in Nashville where Carissa wore an antique dress that was more than 100 years old and Aaron donned a favorite pair of jeans. A friend made over a hundred paper cranes, which they strung up behind them during the ceremony and carried throughout the reception, which was a feast of French cuisine at a local cafe. An abundance of wildflowers and plenty of DIY elements like cupcake liner garlands and heart-shaped confetti made for a bright and cheerful celebration just bursting with love.

Many thanks to photographer Kristyn Hogan for sharing Carissa and Aaron’s beautiful day!

  1. This wedding makes me want to get married right now. I really love the fact that every detail is so personal and her dress is so beautiful on her. Really lovely!
