Today we’re talking DIY s’mores kits! A super simple yet really fun idea for favors at a backyard bash or a kid’s camping-themed party. It’s about as easy as it gets! All you need are your basic s’mores ingredients and some cute packaging. Here’s how I created mine!
Supplies –
- graham crackers
- marshmallows
- chocolate bars
- a bakery or takeout box (I got these from Michaels)
- ribbon
- twine
- tags
- marker(s)
- brown paper bags
- tape
I started by making little individual packets for each s’mores ingredient using brown paper lunch bags. I tucked four marshallows, two graham crackers (split in half) and to two chunks of chocolate in each respective pouch, so each kit makes two s’mores. I tucked them in the brown lunch bags, trimmed them down, then folded over the top and taped it to secure. Then I labeled each one simply with a fine point Sharpie marker.
To finish them up, I tucked the pouches inside a corrugated kraft takeout box, added some ribbon and a tag with some twine. I made my tags using a camping-themed scrapbook paper and a circle punch, but you could use any kind of pre-made tag you might have handy. You can also find them in abundance at office supply and craft stores. And that’s it! A super easy idea, but one that is completely charming and will have kids young and old grinning from ear to ear.
