Are you guys as excited about Halloween as I am? I believe I warned you that I am basically Halloween obsessed and I’m trying not to let you down on that front! To that end, I’m coming at you today with a super cute and easy DIY project that will instantly add a little spook to your decor. These Halloween spider lanterns would be perfect for jazzing up a Halloween party, adding a little ambiance to a scary movie date night or lining the front walk to welcome trick or treaters. They’re also incredibly simple to make. Bonus!
Supplies –
- mason jars (or old jars, washed and dried throughly)
- faux spider web (available at any craft store)
- plastic spiders
- scissors
- votives or flameless tealights
Remember how I said they were easy? As easy as it gets! Take a piece of faux spider web and cover the entire exterior of your jar. Once you have a placement that you like, trim it to size with your scissors. Attach a plastic spider or two, light a candle to place inside and voila!
I really love how these lanterns look and the best part is that the jars are totally reusable. Pull off the spiders and web to use next year and in the meantime you can put your jars to use in other ways. I think these would look amazing lined up along a mantle, too!
