Can you seriously believe that Thanksgiving is just a couple weeks away? I have no idea where 2012 has gone! But I’m not complaining because I just love this time of year. For Thanksgiving I like to dress up a bit, but keep it comfy. (Because let’s face it. We all like to be comfy when we’re sneaking a second slice of pie!) Our Thanksgiving this year is going to involve nearly 20 people, a whole bunch of kids, loads of food and football. So a sweater dress, tights, riding boots and a couple of colorful jewel-toned accessories are where it’s at for me. While I won’t be eating at my mother’s house this year, I’ve embraced her policy of showing up to dinner with your own to-go containers and I’m loving these flip-top canning jars for stowing away leftovers. Oh, and you can’t forget the perfect pair of gloves in case the weather is chilly.

I love those boots! I have been looking for a pair of black riding boots that look great but aren't ridiculously expensive (aka Frye!). These are perfect! I love both colors, but need black more!
You put together the best outfits! :-)

Hey Cindy! I really love the scarves from Ash & Anchor and they have a ton of beautiful patterns and colors that I think would look amazing with this sweater dress! You can check them out here - http://shop.ashandanchor.com/category/scarves

This outfit is fantastic! Perfectly cozy! I am always so envious of people who can wear that mustardy-gold color. As I am light olive skinned, I look sickly in that color! But I LOVE it. :D

You're in luck, Gabrielle! They have that sweater dress in black and with an awesome scarf it'd be just as festive. ;-)
