Scenes from Charleston

Now that I’m finally feeling a bit more human again, I had a chance early this morning to sift through all of my many photos from last week. Seriously, I took a ridiculous number. Rather than bore you though I’ve culled it down to just a handful of favorites to share with you. If you recall, I started my week in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina, a city I love so much and the home of my best girl Erika. We had business to tend to all week, but that didn’t keep us from taking a few hours on Monday afternoon to get lunch and stroll the cobblestone streets. As an architecture lover, Charleston absolutely captivates me with all of her historic beauty. And the flowers! Say no more. I’m certifiably in love. Have you ever visited Charleston? This was my second time there since Erika relocated back to Charleston following a ten year stint in California and I’m telling you it’s a pretty magical place. I’m already dreaming up excuses to return as soon as possible.

A major focus of my time in Charleston was hosting a social media workshop for a fabulous new bar service and special events rental company in Charleston. It was so much fun and such an awesome experience. We held the workshop at Erika’s home and as I was prepping slides and notes the day before, Erika set to decking out her dining room with pretty plates and flowers so we could all enjoy nibbling on pastries and sipping coffee and mimosas throughout the day. We ended the day with our ladies of honor showing off their mixology chops by whipping up the most delicious pineapple margaritas! Fresh squeezed pineapple, tequila, all the good stuff.

And that, friends, is my time in Charleston in a nutshell! Of course I have so much to share with you from the second half of my week, spent glamping in Montana. I literally split the week between opposite sides of the country in two vastly different and yet equally gorgeous places. Needless to say, adjusting to real life this week amidst the exhaustion of traveling nearly 6000 miles last week and running a low grade fever for the better part of Monday and Tuesday is kicking my butt. I sound like such a creep. I swear I’m not complaining. More, I’m in awe of how fortunate I am that my work takes me so many amazing places and allows me to meet and work with such fabulous people. Seriously. I’m a lucky lucky girl.

Awww thank you so much, Nan! I've been working on trying to improve my travel photos ;-) Charleston is truly amazing. The architecture, the food, the marsh, the beaches. You have to go!
