Making homemade gifts is one of my favorite ways to bestow a little love on friends during the holiday season, and I’m sure many of you know by now that I’m no stranger to a good gift basket. Gift baskets are fun because you can personalize them with thoughtful little touches specifically for each recipient. Also, people love getting baskets full of goodies to open and enjoy! Today I’m teaming up with Walmart to share this super chic DIY spa gift basket with you, along with a sensational little recipe for a homemade peppermint foot soak that is unbelievably good. You can buy all the items shown here, including the foot soak ingredients, right at Walmart so you can knock out one or a few of these baskets in no time for all the ladies on your “nice” list needing a bit of pampering!

A few years ago Bob and I sat down over coffee and had a long talk about our holiday shopping tendencies. It wasn’t our first such talk, but it was the cumulative talk where we got real with ourselves about our Christmas shopping habits to date and devised a new set of Christmas gifting traditions. Today I am collaborating with Walmart to share more about those new traditions and how we decided we wanted to put more effort into selecting fewer, more memorable gifts for the kids and our loved ones over the holiday season. We realized we were both feeling frantic every holiday season and it seemed we were buying endless stacks of gifts that lost their meaning because they were just one among many. We knew we wanted our kids to look back and remember joyful holiday celebrations full of love, cheer and a few really special gifts instead of just never-ending tearing of paper from packages. So, we are now the family with stockings packed full of little goodies, a small handful of carefully chosen gifts for each family member, and matching Christmas pajamas to give Christmas morning that extra cheeky cheer. I mean, you can’t forget the matching Christmas pajamas!
I missed doing gift guides last year after doing them for years dating back to 2011 or maybe even 2010. With a tiny little newborn, finding hours to comb the internet for the coolest gifts and compile them into the perfect lists was just too much. Honestly, it’s trickier and far more time consuming than …

I can’t believe it, but today we’re wrapping up The Gift Guide for this year, and we’re talking about stocking stuffers! Currently these retailers all still have shipping options available to get you your goodies in time for Christmas. That said, most of these are also available locally if you want to snag them in …

Friends, today is a good day, because we’re talking about three of my favorite things: baking, chocolate and Christmas gifts. Hooray! One of my favorite gifts to give during the holiday season is …
Is anyone else completely freaked out by the fact that we’re now officially under two weeks until Christmas? I still have a ton of shopping to do compared to this time last year, and I don’t even have the house fully decorated yet. Craziness! But that’s ok, because I’ve got another installment of the gift …
Because we’re getting ever closer and most of us are starting to kick our holiday shopping into high gear about now if not already, I’m bringing you a double dose of The Gift Guide this week! Today we’re talking all about gifts for boys. Much like my gift guide for girls, I tried to put …
By now we all know that Fridays during the holiday season are reserved for talking about gift. And because they apparently picked up on the fact that I love giving awesome gifts, the folks at T.J. Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods sent me out shopping with the challenge of scoring three amazing gifts for those people …
I became an aunt at the ripe old age of 17 and Christmas shopping instantly took on a new meaning. Kids are undeniably the most fun to shop for, because they just get into the whole Christmas thing hard. My favorite gifts to give kids revolve around really beautifully made things that still have that …
Hi, friends! I hope all of you who celebrate had an amazing Thanksgiving yesterday. I’m going to be taking the rest of the holiday weekend to spend time with family and get a jump start on more holiday projects that are currently in the works. Before all of that though, I did want to pop …
You asked and today I’m bringing it to you! I had so many requests for a gift guide focused on those hard to shop for inlaws. You know the ones. The ones who seemingly have everything and always defer to shopping for the kids and the grandkids when you try to figure out what they …
