Home Office Tour: Carolynn Giordano Lemke of Two Brunettes

Feb 6

Earlier this week I promised you a new column and this morning I am here to deliver with a little something I’ve dubbed Nook! For a couple of years now a lot of readers have been asking for more home decor and living content, and as interior design truly is my first love, I was bound and determined to find a way to bring you the goods in 2013! That said, I wanted to do it in a way that was fresh and fun, rather than just rehashing what other totally awesome sites are doing and doing so very well.

Featuring small, beautifully designed spaces from real people, Nook is all about inspiring you to introduce little pockets of pretty throughout your home. You don’t have to have a huge budget or designer furniture to make your home a real haven. It’s really all about the details! To kick things off, today’s Nook features one of my best friends, Carolynn Giordano Lemke of Two Brunettes. Her home office is, literally, a little nook off of her master bedroom. It’s filled with beautiful natural light, collected finds and a whole lot of personality. Click through for all the details!

  1. love this cyd! one of my favorite things to do at home is to style and perfect the little “nooks”. and she is just super lucky to have that fabulous faux fire place in her office!

  2. I love that little Dachshund letter holder from Anthro! I’ve seen it before but now I just might have to get it! Love Carolynn’s space, thanks for sharing!

  3. I absolutely love this new feature (I also happen to love Caryolynn- she designed my logo)! I have a “nook” as well, living in a small one bedroom apartment right outside of DC. Can we just email you for a shot at being featured? Thanks!

  4. Thanks for all the positive feedback, everyone!

Sara (and anyone else interested in submitting a Nook), you can shoot me an email with a few photos to kick things off and we can go from there if it seems like a great fit! I’d absolutely love for everyone to feel welcome to submit their own spaces!
