Last night I wandered over to the blog of Oh, Darling Photography and found myself instantly captivated. I’ve long been a fan of Whitney Deal who writes the immensely inspiring blog Darling Dexter and who is one half of the talented Oh, Darling team. (Her husband is the other half.) I immediately found myself in love with this wedding and the pure, honest, beautiful photographs that Whitney and her husband, Dustin, capture.
With that in mind, I thought I’d ease us all into the work week by sharing a few photos from this beautiful Myrtle Beach, South Carolina wedding, which struck a chord with me for a few reasons. Primary of those reasons are the many annual family vacations (fifteen years worth) that my family took to Myrtle Beach. South Carolina holds a really special place in my heart to this day. The bride, Katherine, has a positively beautiful smile and I love the fact that this couple celebrated their wedding in a weekend-long celebration similar to how my husband and I celebrated our own wedding – with a small intimate ceremony on Friday night followed by a much larger reception on Saturday. I’ve also always been a sucker for beautiful shades of vibrant purple and pink paired together and dogs at weddings. I could go on and on. Instead, I’ll let the photos tell the rest…
I love the simple table settings here, set with mismatched china. It’s so pretty and yet seemingly effortless. I love that combination.
So pretty, so simple, so sweet. I love this wedding more than I can say. A big congratulations to Katherine and Jacob!
