If you’re anything like me, you occasionally have those days where you feel like you’re marking every other blog post you encounter in your Google Reader starred items for future reference. Yesterday was one of those days for me, so I thought I would share a few of my favorite things that have been inspiring me this week.
Once upon a time, when planning my own wedding, I had every intention of incorporating lanterns in one way or another. As favors, as centerpieces, lining the entry to the reception, or in lieu of bridesmaid bouquets – there was no doubt lanterns were going to make an appearance. Along the way that fell by the wayside, but it didn’t stop me from falling in love with these bright right lanterns styled by Chelsea of {frolic!} for Project Wedding. How darling would these be at a holiday party? I believe it’s time I revisit my lantern obsession.
These wedding announcements by Tower of Babel on head vs. heart make me really wish we’d thought of something this cute and witty to drop in the mail the day after we got hitched. I love this world play on “tying the knot” and the playful nature of these – contrary to days of yore, wedding announcements do not have to be a bore.
I love these birds by Ashley Fern featured by Tara Hogan of Ink + Wit. They’d be perfect as a cake topper, made from a patchwork of vintage fabric and stuffed with organic cotton. They are cute enough to convince me to jump on the bird-loving band wagon. I love their tiny little beaks!
If you’re on the hunt for fabulous inspiration boards, one of my recent favorites is the lovely Erin of Lucky Designs who created this beautiful red and white love-themed inspiration board. This bride’s veil is enough to make me swoon.
I love these vintage air mail inspired save the dates on Ruffled. What’s better? You can download the template for both the cute save the date and these awesome envelopes free. Yup, free. It doesn’t get much better than free.
This adorable “just married” banner from B. Poetic wasn’t actually starred in Google Reader but saved in my Etsy favorites when I stumbled upon it this week and fell in love all over again. Although this is clearly perfect for a wedding, you order a custom banner made to order. It’d be perfect for a birthday party or anniversary party, too.
I have to say, catching up on my favorite blogs over a cup of morning coffee is one of my favorite things. What blog posts have inspired you this week?

Thanks, Courtney! I've been loving your blog and think your invitation picks are always great. My full-time gig is working for a stationery company so I'm especially in love with paper.
