A Sweetheart Getaway

Feb 15

Good morning! As the day after Valentines Day, today is perfect timing for this pretty, nature-inspired editorial shoot shared by the lovely Bethany and Jolene. They were inspired by a sweet “renew the woo” theme, envisioning a weekend getaway for two to keep the love alive. A picnic breakfast, sentimental details, little love notes, a nature hike and quiet moments together are romantic and heartfelt. An incredible team of Midwest wedding vendors came together to bring this shoot to life and it has me completely inspired to find time for a weekend away. Cozy plaid blankets, big mugs of coffee and a pair of Adirondack chairs looks like heaven to me.

Bethany and Jolene, thank you so much for sharing!

  1. Hi, Ursula – I’m assuming you mean the bright, multi-colored blanket? That blanket was purchased from Crate & Barrel a couple of years ago. Unfortunately it is no longer available. :(

The other two blankets (the black/white & purple) are from Zambaiti – an Italian company. I scored mine from gilt.com and onekingslane.com.

    Hope this helps.

  2. Hi, Amy – the woodgrain pillows were purchased at the Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago. The woodgrain pattern was hand-printed on the fabric by LeMoustache. They don’t have an online shop, but they will be back at the fair this September.

  3. Love it! I’m from Michigan, but live in Chicago now. I’ve been by Rabbit Run Inn and it’s beautiful! Piece Brewery is just down the street from me here in Chicago and we get the growlers all of the time…it’s great beer. What a fun post for me to read this morning!

  4. It’s so pretty. Makes me want to have a week getaway with the hubby now. I love that woodgrain pillow. By any chance you know where they got that from?
