Loving A Lobster Boil

Lobster boils, clam bakes, seafood boils – I’m obsessed! (I’ve mentioned this before, I know I know.) Lately though, I’m really hurting for a classic Maine lobster boil. I want the bib, the salt potatoes dripping in butter, the blueberry cobbler to finish it all off. I will tell you that lobster is my favorite food in the entire world other than ice cream. Give me the two of them together in one meal? Holy cannoli. That’s my kind of day! Over the last couple of weeks B and I have really been wanting to try grilling our own lobsters (this recipe looks amazing) and this weekend may just be the one where we get the job done. So naturally it’s Wednesday and it’s all I can think about today. You’ll have that. Anyone else wanting to jump on hosting or attending a seafood boil this summer?

We just got home from Cape Cod (1 week) and Acadia, Maine (2nd week) and we had our fill of lobster! We had lobster rolls, stuffed lobster, lobster salad and just plain boiled lobster. It was all delicious!
