The Sweetest Occasion in Every Day with Rachael Ray

I was talking with B one day back in July and said something along the lines of, “We should probably start thinking about what we’re doing for Thanksgiving this year!” Insert loads of premature excitement on my part and a well-deserved head shake on his part. Of course, most people aren’t thinking about the holidays during the height of summer, but in this particular instance I had been working on a Thanksgiving piece with the editors at Every Day with Rachael Ray so I had all kinds of turkeys on the brain. A few dozen ideas for easy Thanksgiving entertaining ideas and a few months later, the issue is now on newsstands!

EveryDay with Rachael Ray November 2013

Featuring a select group of entertaining experts and bloggers, including the awesome Melanie Blodgett of You Are My Fave, the piece opens on page 93 and offers up a whole bunch of ideas and tips for celebrating Thanksgiving with style and ease. I am so happy to be included! The editors adapted these DIY turkey place card holders that the incomparable Jenny Batt of Hank + Hunt created for The Sweetest Occasion last year. Many thanks to Every Day with Rachael Ray for including The Sweetest Occasion and for asking me to be a part of this fabulous issue. Be sure to pick up a copy and check it out!
