Earlier in the week I gave you a little sneak peek at my trip to DC and Alexandria for The B-List last weekend, but I wanted to take a moment to tell you about the amazing meet and greet party on Friday night. Seriously, this party was so much fun – the team at Ritzy Bee Events pulled out all of the stops to bring out DC’s finest to wine and dine the assembled bloggers and a group of over 150 wedding professionals who came from all over the country just to hang out with us for the night at the Torpedo Factory. Yup. Incredibly fun.
Design Cuisine wowed the crowd in both taste and service with a huge spread of tasty bite-sized treats all named after the B-List blogs. Entertainment was provided by the musicians of Nation while Holly Chapple Flowers took responsibility for the gorgeous florals that filled the room. Nine Cakes drove down from Brooklyn to surprise Maddy of The Inspired Bride with a birthday cake that was not only gorgeous, but also ridiculously delicious while all of the finishing touches were provided by John Farr Lighting and DC Rental. Oh and I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the fun that was the Smilebooth – I literally laughed until my sides hurt snapping photos with friends old and new.
Of course, any party is only as awesome as the people there with you and in this case the crowd was second to none. In addition to getting to meet an incredible group of highly talented and inspiring wedding industry pros, I also got to spend time with the bloggers who inspire me daily.
Two of my very favorite ladies – Anne Marie of Perfect Bound and Cathy of Weddingbee.
I’m thinking about selling my house and moving down to hang out with these two ladies – Kelly and Maria of Ritzy Bee – and the other gals of The Hive at 1511. Seriously. I just adore them.
Carolynn of Two Brunettes, me, and Ami of Elizabeth Anne Designs – two of my very best gal pals in the whole wide world.
Vané of Brooklyn Bride and Emily of Once Wed, another couple of ladies for whom I have incredible admiration. I loved getting to spend time with both of them during The B-List festivities.
Nole from Oh So Beautiful Paper, Courtney of Little White Book and Jessica of The Budget-Savvy Bride all sporting the pretty flowers sent as a gift to each of us bloggers by Emersonmade.
All in all, The B-List weekend was amazingly fun and I’m already looking forward to next year’s conference in California. Special thanks are due to Anne and Vané for all of their efforts organizing the weekend and to our financial sponsors Envelopments, Pottery Barn and WEtv/Wedding Central who helped finance our conference and made it possible.
