Well, friends, tomorrow is my birthday! And is the case at least 50% of the time, it’s supposed to be cold and possibly even snowy tomorrow. (The other 50% of the time it’s 70 and feels like a heat wave. Ahhhh, April in upstate New York!) So while I’m anticipating a birthday that feels very little like spring at all and should be rather gray, I’m channeling all of the bright, happy spring-like things today in the run up to Easter in a couple weeks.

St. Patrick’s Day is tomorrow and I’ll be popping in with the next edition of our Real Talk with Real Moms series, but in the meantime I didn’t want to skip out on sharing some of my favorite things from around the web this week. A few last minute things to inspire your St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, alongside those boozy Irish coffee milkshakes we whipped up yesterday! Also, just a few things that inspired me in general or caught my eye.
We have a tiny girl who has been pretty miserable this week, so I’m really looking forward to the weekend and hopefully a bit of time to unwind. (You can’t blame the one year old teething and running incessant fevers, but it does make the week feel a lot longer!) We don’t have much on our agenda this weekend, which feels really nice, so we might start getting organized for the next batch of renovation projects we want to tackle around the house.
For those of you who have been missing my traditional Friday link love posts (which came up several times in the reader survey recently), please know that I’m working on some really fun new content when the site relaunch goes down in a few weeks! (Let’s just call it a month, because my hunch is that’s where we’re going to end up.) I’m going to be keeping much of the content you love, bringing back a few old things with a new spin, and working in some new ideas that I hope you love. As of this week, and one epic day-long shoot on Wednesday, I’m working on video content, too!
Thank you so so much to everyone who has taken the reader survey so far! If you haven’t yet, would you consider taking a few minutes to do so? I’d really love to hear from you, plus you’ll be entered to win a $100 gift card sooo there’s that. (Who can complain about a hundred …
It’s onto the weekend we go, friends, and in honor of the first week of March, this weekend’s to do list is an ode to all things green. Share with me what you’re trying, making and doing this weekend over on Instagram with #theweekendtodolist so I can take a peek! Hopefully these recipes, drinks and craft ideas will get …
Happy Friday, friends! I’m switching things up a little bit today after an unexpectedly long hiatus from my traditional Friday Link Love post. It always surprises me that my weekly link round-ups are so popular, but I’ve been playing with the idea of switching things up a little bit. I’ve written hundreds of link love …
Behind the scenes I’m working on getting it together to get back in the usual flow around here. It might still take a couple of weeks to really get in the groove, but I’m excited that Alice and I will be shooting together next week for the first time in over a month so stay …
Howdy, friends, TGIF! I hope everyone has had a great week. Starting next week we’re going to get to talking about the holidays. Because, well, I love the holidays and also it’s time! (They’re coming sooner than we think!) In the meantime, today I’m sharing five fun colorful Thanksgiving ideas with you to help make the …
Happy Friday, friends! I hope you’ve had a great week. I’m planning to fill you in on a few baby-related updates on Monday, but in the meantime can we take a quick moment to marvel over the fact that I’m 36 weeks pregnant today? How on earth that happened so quickly I will never know. …
Friends, I do believe I overdid it yesterday. After shooting all day I had to practically drag myself into bed at 8:30 last night, and today I have just not been able to bounce back. I had a standard OB appointment this morning (where everything was looking really great), and since then I have just …
Now that it’s officially fall, I am quickly getting into the spirit of the season. Do you live in a climate with changing seasons? While our winters here are incredibly long and brutal, I find the change of seasons seriously energizing and I can’t imagine living somewhere without distinct changes in weather. Fall to me is …
