Because I’ve already mentioned to excess that the 4th of July is one of my favorite days of the year, I’m going to be cutting out for the next few days. I’ll be here on Wednesday following a long holiday weekend where I hope there are copious fireworks and champagne in my future, in addition to a bunch of work I need to tackle behind the scenes for some big upcoming projects I can’t wait to share with you. Have you been following along on my Instagram Stories? We put in a new back patio this week and I’ve been sharing updates on the progress there. I’ll be sharing more over the weekend so you can see how it’s coming together since I know so many of you love these home renovation sneak peeks. In the meantime, here’s wishing you a beautiful 4th of July weekend for those of you here in the States! I’ll leave you with some of my favorite things from the week.

At long last it’s finally really feeling like the start to summer here this week and I have been loving the sunshine the last few days. Has anyone else had a spring that has been endlessly rainy and chilly? All of this to say, I have about zero plans this weekend that don’t revolve around spending some time outside, most likely working in the yard and planting some herbs. In the meantime I rounded up a few of the things that caught my eye this week!

Is anyone else really really glad it’s Friday? I hate to be that person living for the weekend all the time, but this week has been so dark and rainy and gray and drizzly that it has been all I can do to stay awake the last few days, let alone feel motivated on any real level. We are finally expecting a bit of sunshine over the weekend and I need it so much more than I can even tell you. I’m also glad to have a pretty quiet weekend ahead of us for the first time in a while, which always feels nice.

Well, friends, tomorrow is my birthday! And is the case at least 50% of the time, it’s supposed to be cold and possibly even snowy tomorrow. (The other 50% of the time it’s 70 and feels like a heat wave. Ahhhh, April in upstate New York!) So while I’m anticipating a birthday that feels very little like spring at all and should be rather gray, I’m channeling all of the bright, happy spring-like things today in the run up to Easter in a couple weeks.

St. Patrick’s Day is tomorrow and I’ll be popping in with the next edition of our Real Talk with Real Moms series, but in the meantime I didn’t want to skip out on sharing some of my favorite things from around the web this week. A few last minute things to inspire your St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, alongside those boozy Irish coffee milkshakes we whipped up yesterday! Also, just a few things that inspired me in general or caught my eye.

We have a tiny girl who has been pretty miserable this week, so I’m really looking forward to the weekend and hopefully a bit of time to unwind. (You can’t blame the one year old teething and running incessant fevers, but it does make the week feel a lot longer!) We don’t have much on our agenda this weekend, which feels really nice, so we might start getting organized for the next batch of renovation projects we want to tackle around the house.

For those of you who have been missing my traditional Friday link love posts (which came up several times in the reader survey recently), please know that I’m working on some really fun new content when the site relaunch goes down in a few weeks! (Let’s just call it a month, because my hunch is that’s where we’re going to end up.) I’m going to be keeping much of the content you love, bringing back a few old things with a new spin, and working in some new ideas that I hope you love. As of this week, and one epic day-long shoot on Wednesday, I’m working on video content, too!
